Recently, the Leongatha Community Garden received a truly wonderful gift: a donation of colourful and practical Merry People, Merry Boots for its adult members. The thoughtful gesture from the Australian company with very local origins has been a huge boost to the local gardeners, providing them with the perfect footwear to tackle all the muddy, wet, and wonderful work their passion entails.

To express their gratitude, a group of garden members had the special opportunity to meet with Merry People's Founder & CEO, Dani Pearce, during her recent visit to our Community Garden in Leongatha. It was a chance for them to personally thank her for the generous donation and share stories about how the boots have already made a difference in their daily gardening activities and to boost Garden membership.

From tending to vegetable patches to harvesting fresh produce, the new boots are making garden work more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. The bright colours and durable design of the Merry boots perfectly match the vibrant and resilient spirit of the Leongatha Community Garden.

This donation is more than just a gift of footwear; it's a testament to the community spirit and a reminder of how small acts of kindness can have a big impact. It's clear that both Merry People and the Leongatha Community Garden are rooted in a shared commitment to growth, connection, and making the world a little brighter—one muddy patch at a time.
