From bunches of kale to fresh eggs and homemade preserves, every jar scooped, flower bouquet sold, and bag of veggies filled at our Cluck ’n Collect mini market, held for two hours each Thursday afternoon, added up to something extraordinary. Thanks to yours and the public's support, this humble little stall has blossomed into a powerhouse of community funding – and we’re thrilled to share the results!
By the Numbers: A Year of Impact $9,589.00 Total raised (July ’24–June ’25)
| Where Funds Went | Amount | How It Helps
|------------------------------------------|--------------|--------------------------------------------------------------|
| Community Garden | $7,653 |New garden beds, organic soil/ woodchips |
| Culinary Group | $1,936 | Cooking workshops, new equipment |
PLUS: $600 in member savings!
That’s how much our members saved through exclusive member discounts on flowers, eggs, and seasonal veg. Your loyalty keeps our garden thriving!
Why This Matters
This isn’t just about dollars – it’s about what we built together:
- Stronger infrastructure: Your purchases help fund our new raised garden beds. Each new raised bed cost $600.00 plus more than $100 of organic material to fill each one.
- Shared abundance: FREE Working Bee BBQs feasts (well there was a little bit of work involved!!) and other Garden Events.
- Community warmth: Every Thursday is an opportunity to have a chat over egg or veggie sales, find and welcome new members and strengthen our roots.

A Heartfelt Thank You
This record-breaking year wouldn’t exist without:
- YOU, the shoppers who chose local weekly.
- Plot holders who donated gluts of lemons, zucchinis, and flowers.
- Life member Cheryl for the jams, chutneys, homemade biscuits and flower bouquets that fly off the table!
