The past year, from July 2024 to June 2025, has been a remarkable period of transformation and community spirit. We have reached a significant milestone, with our membership growing to over "140 Strong & Growing". Our success is a testament to the dedication of every individual involved, and we want to thank you for your hard work.
One of our most notable achievements has been the completion of the garden bed replacement program. This project aimed to replace our worn-out beds with new, durable structures. While the project is a success, we've encountered an unexpected two-month delay in the delivery of the next batch of beds due to a machine breakdown at our supplier. We are actively monitoring the situation and appreciate your patience. The new beds have significantly enhanced the garden's visual appeal and created a more inviting space.
We are also excited about the successful launch of our community farm, "The Commons". This new venture is focused on collectively growing local, seasonal, and sustainable food. The harvest from The Commons will be shared among our volunteer workers, sold to the public to support our operations, and provided to those facing food insecurity. This initiative aligns perfectly with our goal of creating a resilient local food system and we fondly call this our "farm-ily".
The weekly Cluck 'n Collect mini-market has also been a huge success, raising nearly $8,000 for the garden and $2,000 for the Culinary Group. The market offers fresh eggs, preserves, flowers, and seasonal harvests, and we thank you for your support.
